The Wonder Approach Family Day Care supports children and families across NSW, including the Southern Highlandsand the North and South Coasts. Our qualified educators provide high-quality education and care within nurturing home environments, where relationships, belonging, and curiosity come first.

We are deeply connected to our local communities and value the important role Family Day Care plays in early childhood education and care. Our work is grounded in respect — for children, families, educators, and the places we learn upon.

Creativity sits at the heart of The Wonder Approach. With a strong arts focus, we enjoy stretching the boundaries of early learning, thinking outside the box, and embracing new possibilities. We believe children are capable, creative, and full of ideas worth listening to. Our commitment to reconciliation is ongoing. We strive to learn more about the land on which we live and work, and about the histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Families and carers, are the primary nurturers, educators and role models for your child. You can foster educational continuity from the home to child care by being actively connected to your child’s learning. Research consistently shows that parental involvement maximises the effectiveness of early childhood education and care programs.

We work in partnership with other agencies should your child have external learning needs or require specialist assistance when transitioning to our service. This is all bound by confidentiality.

Every educator—and every household member over 18—holds a current Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check, which we verify consistently to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.

We follow the Child Safe Standards and uphold the Rights of the Child, creating an environment where children are protected, respected, and empowered. Families can see our practices in action every day: open communication, predictable routines, and educators who genuinely listen and respond to children’s needs. When families know exactly who is caring for their child and how safety is embedded into every decision, trust becomes natural.

We also know that trust grows in relationship. When your child joins our Wonder village, they become part of a connected circle of caring adults—your educator, their family, and our Wonder Approach Family Day Care team—working together as a guiding mentor group. This partnership ensures your child is surrounded by consistent, nurturing, and ethical care.
